Info Monday

Changing your bras regularly is an important part of maintaining good breast health and ensuring that your bras provide the proper support and comfort that you need. It is generally recommended that you replace your bras every six to twelve months, depending on how frequently you wear them and how well you care for them.

Over time, the elastic in your bras can become stretched out, which can cause the bra to lose its shape and support. This can lead to discomfort, back pain, and even long-term damage to the ligaments in your breasts. Additionally, regular washing and wearing can cause wear and tear on the fabric of your bras, which can also compromise their fit and comfort.

Your bra size can change for various reasons as well, such as weight loss or gain, during and after pregnancy and other reasons. When this happens your current bras will fit incorrectly and uncomfortable. This is another reason why it's time to change your bra.

To keep your bras in good condition for as long as possible, it's important to follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer. This may include hand-washing your bras, using a mesh bag on gentle wash cycle, avoiding harsh detergents and fabric softeners, and avoiding drying them in the dryer. By taking good care of your bras and replacing them regularly, you can help ensure that your breasts stay healthy and comfortable.

We encourage you to get fitted to be sure of your current bra size. An easy way to start is by using the bra fit guide and calculator on The Bra Box website.
